Winter Dragon – Eastern Dragon – Snow Dragon

Eastern Dragons are huge “serpent like” beasts, that are far more likely to be associated with a particular element, and/or a particular season.  Just like Falkor “the Luckdragon”, they are often seen as the “source of information”, for many a stalwart adventurer.  Upon one such “Fantasy Quest”, did I encounter, this Winter Dragon, Snow Dragon:
Winter Dragon - Eastern Dragon - Snow Dragon
In undulating snow dunes, with whispers of the forest, did this Winter Dragon:  come to me.  In warmth of “winter furs”, and “white in black” of Snow Leopard, did this Winter Dragon:  fly to me.  With colder skies, and bluer hues of “shiver winds”, did this Winter Dragon:  speak to me.  If I was on a Quest, could this Snowy Land – guide my way?  It’s undulating dunes, made of powdery snow – no paths of trodden foot, just one step forward.  It’s whispers of the forest, made of clumping snow – with heavy feet, and light of heart, just one step forward.  It’s Winter Dragon “Spells of Winter”:  two Snowmen on the right, one sleeping Mountain on the left – an army in the snow, two footsteps forward.  If I was on a Quest, could this Snowy Land – go by name?  It’s winter furs, and love of ice – no head’s bowed low, just iron of will, and much resolve.  It’s agile as a hunting cat, and whiskers of the wizened man – it’s head held proud, with strongest back.  This home of Winter Dragon:  Siberia and her “Winter Gates”.  For in Realms of Fantasy, do I find that I think of none other, than Disney’s Frozen 🙂  Especially that scene, where Elsa walks up the mountain, giving into her powers!  And also that scene, where Anna is first tested, by the Blizzards of Snow, when first she tries to find Elsa.  As that’s also where, this Eastern Dragon’s powers lay:  the ability to command the Element of Ice, and the Element of Snow.  For when this Dragon’s Mood, is thought of Conquest, will your Palace/Castle be besieged, in Realms of Ice.  For when this Dragon’s Mood, is thought of Guardian, will your Adventurer be besieged, by Tests of Strength.  For when this Dragon’s Mood, is thought of Winter, will your Landscapes be besieged, by Empires of the White 🙂  For this Winter Dragon, Snow Dragon, knows just where these Gates of Winter Fantasy, may be found:  from the smallest “spec of snow”, to the largest “sheet of ice”, all are bound to him!  From the smoothest “lake of skate”, to the harshest “climb of glacier”, all may bow to him!  For he’s a Winter Dragon, a Guardian of his Winter Realm, whose versed in knowledge of the wise, and answer to your question:  will it snow this day?

Fantasy Dragons – Fantasy Elves – Eleven Dragons

If you were to ask me, to name my favourite type of Mythical Creature, then I would say Dragons 🙂  As Dragons are for me, the largest and most power-fullest inhabitants of many a Realm of Fantasy.  And yet, do I find that Dragons, often go hand-in-hand, with Fantasy Elves:
Dragon Elf - an Elf with her Guardian Dragon
Here did I find one such Fantasy Elf, with her trusty Guardian Dragon 🙂  I find it interesting, that she has a Dragon Tattoo on her back, which is perhaps where her Guardian Dragon sleeps, through the Ages of the Elves.  Her Dragon, appears to be a Western type, that I feel is aligned, with the Woodland Realms.  Further to this, do I find that her Western Dragon, is aligned with the Powers of the Elves; as she is a Woodland Elf, in a Forest Realm.  There’s a relationship, between the colour of her Dragon Tattoo, and the colour of her Eleven Eyes, which I feel, are akin to each other.  I also suspect, that her Dragon Tattoo, is a Dragon Portal, to Dragon Land, where this Dragon resides, when he is not Guarding.  But what of her Eleven Ears?  These seem unusually tall [even for an Elf], and I suspect that she to, has a Guardian role to perform:  a Carer of the Woods.  I also feel, that there’s some resemblance of shape, between the Butterflies and her Hairstyle.  As these Butterflies, fly this Night, in Shades of Green!  Or perhaps instead, it was just her Eleven Light, that confused my Eyes; as these Eleven Folk, tend to move so quick!  Flutter here, Flutter there 🙂

What Traits Does her Eleven Dragon Have?

This Dragon is small.  This Dragon is Green.  This Dragon has a Tail, that’s like a Forest Whip!  This Dragon is watchful.  This Dragon is Patient.  This Dragon has a Look, that’s like a Forest Ancient!  For this Western Dragon knows well, the Paths of Woodland Nature.  Be that Woodland Path, or Eleven Path.  Be that Forest Path, or Fairy Path!  For he’s a Guardian Dragon, with an Eastern Trait:
Dark Elf - A Guardian Elf, Spider Elf
For this Eleven Dragon is a shape-shifter, whose known to many, as Spider Elf.  Their Ears are the same, their Eyes are the same.  Their Look is the same, their Stance is the same.  For this Eleven Web she casts, in Foliage of the Mythical.  For this Eleven Web she casts, in Shadows of the Dark.  For could it be, that her Fantasy Dragon, is indeed a Dark Elf?  That walks the Darker Side, of this Woodland Realm?  Only Legolas would know 🙂

Autumn Dragon – Eastern Dragon

If you ventured into a Forest’s Woods at the “tide of autumn”, then you may be correct in thinking – that this is indeed a “Magical Place”.  For if you was a wanderer, then it’s possible, that you may find the foundry of a Mythical Realm.  Upon one such Quest, did I find myself – within the golden lands of this fantasy wallpaper.  With the “change of the seasons” did I meet, this Forest Dragon:

I’d heard of Dragons before, but this Dragon seemed different; when compared to the “standard traits” of an Eastern Dragon.  Whilst this Dragon was still “long and serpentine”; it’s talons, scales and snout – whispered more of bird!  With a glance upon it’s feet, did it’s claws appear to be:  more at home “upon a perch”, than upon this cobbled path.  It’s twirling whiskers, and glowing eyes:  tweet of Owl, and “Speak the Wise”.  What was it the Dragon said?  The gold of the Leaves and the bark of the Trunks.  The gold of the Grass and the brown of the Boughs.  The shelter of the Canopy and the arch of the Trees.  For in this Woodland Lair – did this Dragon “dwell alone”.  What was it the Dragon meant?  A thousand years within this Kingdom:  fall of Leaf and fell of Trunk.  A timing of the perfect moment:  shimmer Grass and glowing Bough.  A hidden place within this Forest:  with sheltered Canopy and armoured Tree.  For in this Woodland hour – did this Dragon “guard alone”.  What was it the dragon guarded?  The entrance to these Woods – from daylight sun to autumn shade.  The bridge across this River – from pastures light to autumn’s gold.  The path along these Woods – from cobbled start to leafy sea.  For in this Woodland Realm – I found this Autumn Dragon:  Wise of Owl and Tide of Change.

Forest Dragon – Wood Dragon

If you ventured into a Forest’s Woods at the “height of day”, then you may be mistaken for thinking – that all is “calm and friendly”.  For if you was a Knight, then it’s possible, that you may find the entrance to a Forgotten Realm!  Upon one such Quest, did I find myself – within the Woodland of this fantasy wallpaper.  With my shield of a Knight’s Templar – did I encounter, this Forest Dragon:

I’d heard of Dragons before, but this Dragon seemed different; when compared to the “standard traits” of both Eastern and Western.  It’s talons and scales were of a Western Dragon, but it’s length and shape – were more befitting of an Eastern Dragon.  Upon my “steed in white”, did I first battle this Dragon!  I drew my sword, and prepared for “what may be”.  With the “weight of my helm”, did this Dragon – wrap itself around the Forest Trees.  It’s “claws dug deep” – within the bark of a Tree.  With the “clamour of my armour”, did this Dragon – become a Bastion of the Forest Trees.  It’s “rows of teeth” – reaching for me!  With the “strength in my arms”, did this Dragon – make it’s “war cry” at me.  It’s “hungry tongue” – flicking out at me.  For this Woodland Realm, was this Dragon’s Hoard.  The green of the Leaves and the bark of the Trunks.  The green of the Grass and the yellows of the Baron.  The swaying of the Boughs and the windswept Blades.  For this Woodland Realm, was this Dragon’s Lair.  How long had it dwelt here?  Know not I.  Where did it sleep?  Know not I.  What of the Maiden that you’d “hoped to find” upon your Quest?  Know not I.  For this Woodland Realm, with it’s Forest Dragon, and his Hoard of Wood – was this Knight’s demise!
